Alan O'Gorman
 

Alan O’Gorman is a writer from Cork. His debut feature film CHRISTY won Best Film at the IFTAs 2026. His short films include IFTA-nominated FOR YOU (starring Barry Keoghan), the award-winning CHRISTY, the Zebbie-nominated script for YELLOW BELT, and MOUSE.

Outside film, Alan has previously won the John O’Connor Short Story Prize and had a non-fiction piece, HUMAN ANIMALS: DEHUMANISATION AND IRELAND, published in Rundale in 2025.
